I have a camera!!!!

That's right, I have a camera, and not just any old camera either! It's the Cannon 40D; the one I wanted instead of the one I'd agreed to settle for!! Joseph just got this big bonus that I didn't know was coming and bought me a camera with it. He walked in the door with it this afternoon and the first thing I thought, after I figured out it was a camera and not some manly, alarm technician, tool thing, was "Where did you get the money for that?" I was totally shocked and super excited! Here's some of the first pictures I took with my marvelous new camera. (I realize most of them are lame; there will be better ones soon).

This is our apartment here in beautiful Fishers, Indiana. It's the one on the right with the messy walkway.

Here's Helen in her lovely parking spot. Our apartment, if you could see it in this picture, would be just to the left of me. I love the roots of that tree!

This is our mailbox . . . not the open one . . .

Here's Joseph's ukulele and my guitar hanging out on the wall in our front room together. Yes, I started playing with the images; this one is slightly solarized for those of you who care.

And, at last, my rubiks cube! This image is solarized and not just slightly solarized for those of you care, not that if you care, you couldn't tell . . . Anyway, I'm rather proud of it, of the image itself and of the fact that I solved the cube like that. I'm amazing! ;)

Well, life is pretty good here, though I can't believe how much it's been raining. We've had two tornado warnings just this last week, and it looks like there's going to be another tonight. The thunder storms are awesome! I just wish there wasn't the tornado threat linked to them.
